On Monday Room ll and 12 went to Motat to learn about inventions. It was awesome.

We waited patiently for Katharine our educator to give us instructions.

On Monday room 11 and 12 reading group went to do volleyball in the school hall we first we have to run in a circle.                                            

2nd we sat in a circle and we watch  liz tech i was excited

    

Cross country

                                                                                       last week on Monday we had cross country and we had to run And  we run fast\ to the finish line and it was fun in the cross country everyone run fast to the first line.

 My heart was pounding and  i was nervous

when the clapper went and i keeped running

to the first line everyone  i was laughing when i was running

 

We have to wear red yellow blue green T  shirt they run around the big field it was

fun everyone was cheering at the

finish line i was gasping for breath,

When my Dinosaur lived million years ago. It name is from spike my Dinosaur name is

spikeosaurus my Dinosaur lives in

a cave and near the volcano  it is a carnivore.

My Dinosaur has lots of spike everywhere my Dinosaur tail look like a spike tail and it tail keeps it safe and my Dinosaur has baby Dinosaur they have a small head and it neck is short.

Auckland Museum

Last week on Friday room 11/12 went to the Auckland Museum I was in Mrs Strickland's group. Room 12/11 was waiting for the bus to pick us up and take us to the Auckland Museum.

When we got to the museum we sat on the ground. When we got to the ground    some of the class went to eat and some went to look around the museum. We went to this place to eat our morning tea.

We went to look around the Museum  some of the groups went to eat with Mrs Strickland group. Some others  went to do the quiz in the book around the museum we had and booklet and a felt-tip. We saw lots of stuff also.

There was an old fashioned town at the museum with an old dirty wooden chair. There were also old shoes at the museum. We went to see the dinosaur bones and fossils in a little classroom.

fireman David came to room 12 and 11 he told as he been in a rat maze he said it is hot in the rat maze they have to keep going before they are not a fire.

           

             what do they do

They make the rat maze dark so they can't

see  fire if there is a real fire they get a hole and a helmet  they have a mask so no fire can come on there face.

         How to become a fireman

 

you have to come in and out the rat maze

and you have to help big kid and little kid

and a fireman have to be fit be super smart

they help people to get out of house .

My aspiration for the future is to be a teacher

The job of a teacher is to teach little kids and  help kids to learn teach  kid reading and writing.

I want this job because teachers they are  kind and cool because they are fun to little kids and they are help

to teach kids they are fun.    

To be a teacher you need  to be cool and fun . I love teachers because they are kind

to be helpful to little kids and big kids.

 A kiwisport coach goes to different school and teaches  little kids kiwisport.  They teach different sports like soccer and rugby.

 WHAT SORT OF PERSON DO YOU NEED TO BE?
Kiwisport coaches love sport they warm ups and they have to have to have skills and they have to have strategies and cooperate.  To be a kiwisport coach you have to be fit and be kind to little kids They need skils. They have to be responsible in their job and fun. They teach little kids warm ups.  They have to be confident and be smart and enthusiastic.

What work do they do? 

 A firefighter has a different work because their work is varied. They extinguish fires. A firefighter also saves people in houses and cars. They have to be on hand in case the car blows up. Firefighters rescue people in fires. They have to be fire smart before they be a firefighter.They help to prevent fires by educating people to be fire smart.

 What do firefighters wear?

 A firefighter has protective clothing so they don't die.They wear a helmet with a visor to keep them safe and protect their face. They have gloves to make they hands safe. A firefighter also has a breathing apparatus. They wear an oxygen tank so they don't breathe in the smoke.

The bouncy castle

On Friday we went to the bouncy castle i slide down the bouncy castle all of the class went will us it was fun playing on the bouncy castle we have to have turns on the bouncy castle. Everyone got to turns sliding down on the bouncy castle my friend was lundie at me when i slide down. When i slide down i landed on my tummy it was fun on the bouncy castle the bouncy castle was fun.

Matariki

If you want to see the Matariki cluster of stars what can you do! You will need to get up about half an hour before dawn breaks in lake May or early June You have to look towards the horizon facing north east. This weekend it was Matariki .Matariki is a cluster of stars. When these stars appear it is the Maori New Year.

On a cold cloudy night Jimmy went camping in the small clearing forest. Jimmy was sitting on a log. He could hear the lake  lapping on the  shore. Jimmy was toasting some marshmallows on the orange, sizzling fire.

Trying to defend himself  Jimmy swung his stick out like a sword. Suddenly the monster stretched out his tongue and snatched the marshmallow.

Yesterday on a cold morning Pt England school had an immersion assembly in the school hall, we were going to discover what we will be learning about this term. Room 11 and 12 walked nicely in a line to the hall

During the school holidays Mr Barks had been exploring flight. I liked the way Mr Barks pushed Mr Somerville on his amazing minion hovercraft.

Mr Somerville defeated Miss Lavakula and Mr Baxendine in the superhero video game that team 4 made. Mrs Jacobsen defeated Mr Somerville which was funny because she had a fish.

I in enjoy the assembly because the teacher was very crazy .Term 5 was march like a soldiers.

Yesterday we went to the Immersion Assembly with Pt England school to Learn about

our topic.

I felt very nervous about our first day on Monday. Mr Barks had Been Tinkering at home with toys when he was 5.

we have one swimming teacher. And they gave us goggles to see under the water

after swimming we got out the swimming pools. And we walk back to my classroom.
